Monday Round Up
Coffee with Owen and Naomi, community service at RFK, then we headed to Ben's Chili Bowl where we were glad that we had already been inside on other days and knew that we didn't have to feel compelled to wait in a line that stretched around the corner and was clearly going to take at least a couple of hours to get through. We saw protestors at the White House--Code Pink against the war in Iraq, and Progressive Democrats of America campaigning for the new Justice Department to appoint a special prosecutor and "arrest Bush." Then, walking to the train from Ben's we bumped into a Gay and Lesbian rally at DuPont Circle. I'm not sure if it was part of the same rally or not, but at the edge of the park there was a 15ft high inflatable effigy of George Bush that people were throwing shoes at.
